TASLAF completes first project of 2026 with Bench of Honour initiative in Oyo

by Reporter

The Ayo-Sanda Ladigbolu Foundation (TASLAF) has successfully executed its first project of 2026 with the launch and completion of the TASLAF Bench of Honour Project, a humanitarian initiative aimed at improving the welfare and working conditions of security agencies in Ọ̀yọ́.

In the first phase of the project, the foundation donated 50 benches to key security formations across Ọ̀yọ́ in recognition of their dedication to public safety and community service. Beneficiary institutions included the Nigeria Police Force, Ọ̀yọ́ Area Command; the Divisions at Durbar, Atiba, Ilora, Jobele and Awe; the Nigeria Police Monitoring Unit; the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Ọ̀yọ́; the Ọ̀yọ́ State Road and Transport Management Agency (OYRTMA), Ọ̀yọ́ Zone; and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Ọ̀yọ́ Area Command.

Officers of the various agencies expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as a rare and thoughtful intervention by a non-governmental organisation. They noted that the benches would significantly support their daily operations and enhance staff welfare.

The foundation also conveyed special appreciation to the Divisional Police Officer of the Awe Division, SP Adewole Temitope, for the exceptional hospitality extended to the team and for the formal letter of appreciation issued to TASLAF. Commendation was likewise given to the Area Commander of the NDLEA, Ọ̀yọ́ Area Command, for the warm reception and honour accorded to the foundation’s delegation.

According to TASLAF, this intervention marks Phase One of the Bench of Honour Project. Phase Two will extend the initiative to additional security agencies, religious centres and community bases across Ọ̀yọ́ and its environs, as part of the foundation’s broader commitment to strengthening institutions that serve the public.
