As the world commemorates International Women’s Day, Event Diary Lifestyle has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing girl-child empowerment through its Young Girls in School initiative.
The organisation announced that the third edition of the programme will be held on March 13, 2026, at Highscope School in Ojodu Abiodun, Ogun State, where between 150 and 200 secondary school girls from Lagos and Ogun States are expected to participate.
The initiative, themed “Skill in Her Hands, Confidence in Her Heart,” aims to equip young girls with practical skills, mentorship, and inspiration for leadership.
Founder of Event Diary Lifestyle, Princess Adeola Shittu, said the programme was designed to bridge the confidence and opportunity gap faced by many young girls.
She explained that empowering girls with knowledge, skills, and mentorship is critical to building a more inclusive and progressive society.
According to her, initiatives like Young Girls in School help young girls recognise their abilities and prepare them for future leadership roles in their communities and professions.
Participants will take part in mentorship sessions, motivational talks, and practical skills training aimed at developing creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial thinking.
