The five kingmakers of Ifo Kingdom on Friday, 26th June, 2026, formally presented the Olu of Ifo-Elect, Otunba Olumide Osunsina, to the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Dr. Michael Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, CFR (Okukenu IV), at the historic Ake Palace, Abeokuta.
During the visit, the Paramount Ruler commended the unity and maturity displayed by the Ifo kingmakers throughout the selection process and congratulated the people of Ifo on the emergence of Otunba Osunsina as their new monarch. Oba Gbadebo described the Olu-Elect as a distinguished Nigerian entrepreneur, real estate magnate, and philanthropist whose leadership qualities and achievements would greatly benefit the Ifo Kingdom.
The Olu-Elect, in his remarks, expressed profound appreciation to the Alake for his fatherly guidance, royal counsel, and unwavering support over the years.
The delegation included the five accredited kingmakers: High Chief Adisa Taoreed Adeyemi (Balogun of Ifo Land), High Chief Mutiu Ogunjimi (Otun of Ifo Land), High Chief Soliu Olalekan (Osi of Ifo Land), High Chief Ibrahim Dende Adelanwa (Ekerin of Ifo Land), and High Chief Adetunji Adebayo (Jaguna of Ifo Land).
Also in attendance were Chief Mrs. Oluwafunmilayo Alabi (Iyalode of Ifo Land), Aare Babatunde Adewunmi Alabi, Hon. Johnson Olu Fatoki (Amona of Ifo Land), Balogun Oluwole Adeyi (Akinlagun of Ifo Land), Alhaji Waheed Adekunle (Aare Apagun of Ifo Land), Rt. Hon. (Prince) Olakunle Oluomo Taiwo, former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, and Alhaji (Hon.) Kifuli Alabi Solademi (Borokinni of Ifo Land and Baale of Orile Solademi), among other dignitaries.
Following the palace visit, Oba-Elect Otunba Olumide Osunsina hosted the chiefs and members of the delegation at his residence in Abeokuta, where extensive discussions were held on the peace, unity, and sustainable development of Ifo Land.
