Tuesday, 24 January 2023, an illustrious daughter of Ibadanland, Alhaja Olubunmi Sakirat Lawal was honoured with ‘Omoluabi Ibadan Award’ by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII). According to the organisers of the event, the award ceremony was one of the activities earmarked for the celebration of 2023 Ibadan Cultural Festival Week. The award presentation ceremony, held at the Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, Ibadan, was so colourful and entertaining. There were all kinds of cultural displays and other attractions. Prominent members of CCII, as well as top personalities in the society were present.
Presenting the award certificate to Alhaja Lawal, President General of CCiI, Prince Yemisi Adeaga laid emphasis on the fact that the honour was nothing but a well deserved one.
