In an exciting event, wrapping up its back-to-school initiative for the current academic session. Brigadier General Mutiu Abiola Oloyede Asanike’s Amdalat Oloyede Foundation distributed exercise books to the students of Igbo-Elerin Grammar School in Ibadan on Tuesday.

The distribution exercise was in addition to the earlier distribution of 15,000 copies of 60-leaf exercise books.

Previously, the books had been distributed across six other schools, including the junior and senior sections of Ibadan Boys High School, Oke-Bola; Wesley School of Science, Elekuro; CAC Primary Schools 1 and 2, Asanke Compound; the junior and senior schools of Ibadan City Academy, Eleta; St. John’s Catholic Primary Schools 1–5, Eleta; and IMG Primary Schools 1 and 5, Eleta.

Amdalat Oloyede Foundation Chairman, Brigadier General Asanike, who was represented by the Foundation’s Coordinator, Barrister Bioye Oloyede-Asanike (Jnr.), stated that the back-to-school initiative is part of the Foundation’s many empowerment programs.

He reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to supporting education and other aspects of life, which he said aligns with the Amdalat Oloyede Foundation’s aims and objectives since it was established two years ago.

“We have come to the realization that the government alone cannot address the challenges in the education sector; hence our decision to identify and nurture these young stars for the betterment of their future and the good of our society,” he noted.

Having come from a very influential but highly disciplined background as the son of the 37th Olubadan, the late Oba Yesufu Oloyede Asanike, who reigned between 1983 and 1993, Brigadier General Asanike understands the importance of education and human capacity building.

This orientation, he said, reinforced his decision to always help others, especially the less privileged.
