The organisers of the Arewa Fashion & Food Festival (AFFEST) have announced a new date for the 2026 edition of the annual cultural and business event, to November 6 and 7, 2026.
A statement issued in Kaduna on Saturday by AFFEST’s Guarantor-in-Chief, Bilqees Abdurrasheed Shebby, said the new date was chosen to better align with the schedules of key stakeholders and maximise participation, assuring that the new dates would enhance the overall experience for exhibitors, sponsors, partners, volunteers, media organisations and visitors.
According to Shebby, the 2026 edition of the festival will retain its theme, “Rice & Rafter: One Arewa, Many Stories,” and will showcase the rich cultural heritage of Northern Nigeria through fashion, food, craft exhibitions, music, dance, storytelling, entrepreneurship and tourism.
She said the festival would continue to serve as a platform for local businesses, artisans, farmers, chefs, fashion designers, creatives and young entrepreneurs to display their products and services while connecting with new markets and business opportunities.
She, however, urged all attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, partners and volunteers to update their calendars and make necessary arrangements to participate in the festival on the revised dates.
The committee also expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their understanding, continued support and enthusiasm, noting that preparations were underway to deliver an exceptional festival that celebrates the beauty, diversity and innovation of Northern Nigeria.
The Arewa Fashion & Food Festival (AFFEST) 2026 will hold on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, 2026, in Kaduna, with organisers expressing optimism that the event will further promote cultural exchange, tourism and economic opportunities across the region.
