Bishop STV ADEGBITE Celebrates 55th Birthday

On Thursday, 17th August, 2023 Bishop Stephen Tunde Victor Adegbite held a 2-in-1 Thanksgiving at the Opebi Methodist Church in Lagos.

The first was to celebrate his 55th birthday, and the second was the celebration of his 35 years of service as a priest in God’s vineyard.

The event was a big one and was done in grand style.

 

The celebrant who is a senior clergy at the Methodist Church is the Bishop of the Metropolitan Diocese of Ikeja of the Methodist Church of Nigeria is a respected man of God loved by all. This was evident in the large turn-out of  dignitaries who attended the event held at the Methodist Cathedral of Peace and Excellence in Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos.

Notable among the long list of guests is the first lady of  Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu who was represented by her media aide, Mrs. Busola Kukoyi; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who was represented by his Chief of staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde; First lady,Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-olu who was represented by Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, wife of the deputy governor of the state.There was slso Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi of Love of Christ Church; Sir Olu Okeowo and his wife,Mr. Olusola Oke and a host of others.

They all took part in the Thanksgiving service held at the church auditorium, and their presence added colour to the occasion. Also worthy of note was how top clergies of Methodist Church took charge of the service as they officiated it in grand style. The Thanksgiving service was held under the supervision of The Methodist Prelate, Archbishop Oliver Abah. Also present was the Emeritus Prelate,Sunday Ola Makinde, and quite a long list of Archbishops, Presbyters, Priests, Deacons, Deaconess and many others.

Towards the end of the service, the representative of the first lady of Nigeria, the representative of Lagos state governor and the representative of the first lady of Lagos state all delivered the felicitation speeches sent by their respective principals.

At the conclusion of the thanksgiving service, guests were given a grand reception  at the hall within the church premises. This was a fulfilled moment as family, friends, associates, and well-wishers took time to rejoice and celebrate with Rt. Rev. Adegbite and his loving wife. This made the day worthwhile and remarkable. Performing on stage was the TBS Band, a classy group led by music sensation Omolewu T. Damilare.
