On Friday, June 28th, 2019, one of the respected chiefs in Agege kingdom and Ikeja Land, Chief (Dr.) Taiwo Ojerinde Akinremi celebrated his platinum jubilee birthday in grand style.
The whole of Agege and its environs came alive, as Kings, dignitaries, politicians from all walks of life stormed Fit Joy Hall, 34 Amoo Road, Oke Koto Agege, Lagos to celebrate one of their own.
Chief Taiwo, the celebrant is undoubtedly a man who is loved by many. His fatherly and leadership role is unquantifiable. He’s a man who loves people around him. His contribution in discharging his duties as one of the respected chiefs in Agege has never gone unnoticed, and no wonder the Venue was flooded with his colleagues and well-wishers who came out en-masse to rejoice with him
There were testimonies from those who he has helped. Many of them said, that Chief Taiwo is a man who is always in a happy mood and loves assisting people.Â

ARRIVAL OF THE GUESTS
Despite the fact that it was a rainy day, it couldn’t stop friends, family, and well-wishers from showing Chief Taiwo Ojerinde Akinremi love and support. The venue of the event was filled to the brim. Many people came as a group while others came as a family. The influx of the people at the party clearly stated that the celebrator is a man loved by many. Though the event was scheduled to start at 2 pm, but it didn’t start until some minutes before 4 pm. But the venue was already filled up before the commencement of the event.
ABOUT THE ASO EBI
Over 95 percent of the guests wore the beautiful Ankara Aso Ebi, picked for this beautiful occasion. It was a mixture of yellow and deep brown fabric. Many beautiful ladies who attended added colour to the event, as they dazzled in different styles and complimented it with expensive jewelries. Men were not also left behind. They also complemented theirs with different shade of caps. It was a beautiful event many will not forget in a hurry
ARRIVAL OF THE CELEBRATOR
The celebrator arrived very early, as a man of principle that he is. He came in in a beautiful 4 Runners Toyota Jeep. Many people came to welcome him. He was at first dressed in white traditional attire. He sat with some of his friends when preparations to event was still going on. And when the event eventually started, he was invited to his specially reserved chair. The celebrator was also dressed in full embroidery Gold color Agbada with the touch of Purple. Chief (Dr) Taiwo Ojerinde Akinremi, is the Alagba Oje Parapo Agege Kingdom, also, Awise of Ikeja. He is indeed a man of honour.
AND THE EVENT FINALLY KICKS OFF
The event kick-off at about 4pm with Otunba Yemi Odun Odu, presenter of Mimiaye on Faaji FM, and Ajo Gbadolar, popularly known as Alafin Mowe, as the MCs. This duo actually brought more life to the event. They surely know how to make guests enjoy themselves doing what they know how to do best . They introduced the dignitaries to the high tables and invited different artistes for performances.
ARRIVAL OF OLU OF AGEGE
One of the moments we must talk about was when one of the royal fathers of the day, Olu of Agege Kingdom, Oba Kamila Oyedeji Akani (Isiba 1) stormed the event with lots of swag. His energy and enthusiasm cannot be overlooked. He’s a man that is full of life. His arrival attracted beating of drums and singing, while some were hailing him. Upon his entering into the hall, he greeted everyone including the celebrator who was so happy to receive him before he moved to his seat.
AFOMIPERO FAMILY SUPPORTS THE CELEBRATOR
One of the groups that showed great support is Afomipero group. They came out en-masse to rally round one of their own, who is also one of the members of their group. Their white attire singled them out. They sat right in the middle of the hall and they were the cynosures of all eyes. It will interest you to know that, their overall President, Chief (Mrs) Airat Abeje was also on ground to witness the great event.
SEE WHO IS ON THE BAND STAND
Mass Kenny Ayinla Awise, popularly known as Eyin Oju Oganla, was on the band stand. Not many people know that he’s actually one of the children of the celebrator. He really did well with his band.

These are the sons and daughters of Chief (Dr) Taiwo Ojerinde Akinremi. Chief Olajide Akinremi- The Mayegun of Gbogunleri Agege, he is the CEO of Jayone Outfit, Osuntope Akinremi, Kehinde Ayinla Akinremi (Mass Kenny), Taiwo Akinremi, Kunle Akinremi, Samson Akinremi, Eniola Akinremi, Jibola Akinremi, Mayowa Akinremi, Adeola Akinremi, Temiloluwa Akinremi.
