With over 15 years of experience in accounting and tax practice, Abiola Oyeronke Akintobi currently leads the Tax & People Services Unit at Moore Bishop & Rooks, where she has successfully grown the unit’s revenue, transforming the firm’s approach to billing, client management, and tax advisory services. Her leadership spans federal and state tax compliance, employment tax planning, audit remediation, and strategic restructuring, serving clients in manufacturing, oil & gas, financial services, and telecommunications.

Abiola Oyeronke Akintobi is a recognised leader in regulatory compliance and international taxation, providing expert advisory on transfer pricing, country-by-country reporting, double taxation treaties, and contract reviews. She also drives compensation restructuring and tax due diligence engagements, ensuring companies navigate Nigeria’s evolving tax landscape with confidence. Her oversight includes monthly and annual filings, audit coordination, and risk mitigation across diverse client portfolios.

 

 

 

She played a critical role at Twinings Ovaltine Nigeria Ltd. as Head of Financial Controls, where she directed month-end closings, ensured tax audit readiness, supported treasury operations, and developed internal control enhancements in collaboration with executive management. Her earlier role as Group Tax Manager for Dangote Flour Mills Group and Delifoods Nigeria Ltd. involved coordinating tax compliance across multiple business entities and serving as lead liaison with tax authorities during audits and investigations.

 

 

Prior to that, Abiola Oyeronke Akintobi spent over a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria, rising to the role of Experienced Manager in the Tax and Corporate Advisory Services Unit. She worked with both multinational and indigenous firms, overseeing tax strategy development, due diligence, audit defense, and client profitability management. Her leadership in this role extended to the supervision of a 70-member team, guiding performance, recruitment, and capacity building.

 

Abiola Oyeronke Akintobi holds a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management from Manchester Business School. Her academic foundation has been instrumental in her delivery of cross-border advisory and internal financial control strategies. With professional memberships in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
