Governor Oyebanji doesn’t just focus on building infrastructure; he places citizens’ well-being at the core of his agenda, recognizing that healthy citizens are the foundation for a thriving economy.
Yesterday, Ekiti State First Lady, HE Dr.Olayemi Oyebanji, represented by the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Banji Filani, brought smiles to the faces of Ekiti citizens, as she disbursed Cheques to indigent patients facing chronic illnesses in the state.
This initiative closely follows the first anniversary of the people’s Governor, reaffirming his unwavering commitment to citizens’ welfare.
The joy and gratitude radiating from the beneficiaries were palpable as they showered Governor Oyebanji’s government with heartfelt prayers.
Over 150 patients received financial assistance. These included those who had completed their treatment but were burdened by hospital bills and those who had been unable to access medical services due to financial constraints.
One of the beneficiaries , who gave an emotional remarks on behalf of others , lovingly referred to the Governor as ‘Okanlomo of Ekiti ‘ which simply means ‘Rare Son of Ekiti ‘.
In Ekiti, compassion and leadership are intertwined, reflecting a commitment to the holistic well-being of Ekiti people.
