Oluseye Olaniran Oladejo is a popular Lagos politician. He is an APC chieftain. He is also a former Lagos Commissioner. The big news is that he is now the spokesperson for Lagos APC. He was born on 2nd February, 1966 at Ibadan, Oyo State.
He attended St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Aremo , Ibadan. He had his secondary school education at Bishop Aggey Memorial Secondary School, Illasamaja, Mushin, Lagos State. He was the library prefect in school and a notable debater.
He proceeded to the University of Ife, ( now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile-Ife, where he bagged his B. A(Hons) degree in English Studies. At Ife, he was the Secretary General of the Students Union in 1985/86 at nineteen years old.
He had his national service in Yola in 1987/88 where his primary assignment was at the NYSC secretariat as the Public Relations Officer. He bagged the state award for outstanding service.
He started his career as a Mobilization Officer for Mass Mobilization for Social and Economic Recovery-(MAMSER) in Ibadan. He had a stint in media, event management and promotions and public relations when he was employed by Times Leisure Services, an arm of Daily Times of Nigeria. They were the organizers of Miss Nigeria, specialized exhibitions and seminars. They also managed the Fashion Designers of the Year Contest that shot the likes of Nikky Africanna, Labannella, Supreme Stictches, Dakova etc to limelight.
He and his partners floated Goldlink Media where he rose to the position of the general Manager.
He was the pioneer ward secretary of the People’s Solidarity Party- PSP- in ward C , Mushin Local Government. He held the same position in the Social Democratic Party and later became the Publicity Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy- AD. He was appointed as the Secretary to the Local Government, Mushjn Local Government, and later the Executive Secretary. He was elected the Local Government Chairman in 2004.
He was appointed as the Special Adviser to Gov. Babatunde Raji Fashola in 2011 for Commerce and Industry and later became the Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter- governmental relations during the tenure of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode. He was elected and sworn-in as the Publicity Secretary of APC in Lagos State during the special state congress in January 2020. I’m happily married with children to my namesake, Seye.
