Daughter of Fuji music star, Alhaji (Dr.) Sefiu Alao Adekunle, Shefiat Oyindamola Adekunle who is better known by her stage name, Saffiya, has released a new song she titled: “Opinions”. The Rhythm and Blues cum Afro Pop sensation released the song on Friday, January 21st, 2022, and the song has been receiving rave reviews from the members of the public, since then.
According to the opinions of most of the people that have listened to the single which was released on all streaming platforms and has also been played on some radio stations in Nigeria, Saffiya’s sonorous voice and the profound message she passed across in her song, “Opinions”, have gone to show that truly, the apple does not fall far from the tree. Because she is believed to have gotten the sonority of voice and profundity of the message in her song, from her Fuji music star father.
Meanwhile, Saffiya, has revealed that the main message of the song which states that people should not let other people’s opinions to dissuade them from the direction they want to go in life so long they have the conviction that, they are on the right track, was inspired by her personal experience. And looking quite determined to start making major statements with her craft in the music industry in Nigeria, Saffiya exuded lots of confidence in the promo video she did to release the song.
Saffiya who studied International Law and Diplomacy at Babcock University in Ogun State and graduated in 2019, is said to be enjoying the full blessing of her father to go into music. And she is also said to have been receiving all the support she needs to excel as an artiste, not just from her father, but from also her older and younger siblings, some of whom are based abroad.
