Lagos was aglow with elegance and celebration on Sunday, March 23rd, as City People hosted the prestigious 2025 Female Entrepreneurs Awards at the Association of Friends Club’s event hall in Maryland. The evening was dedicated to honoring 53 outstanding women who have made remarkable strides in their respective industries, raising the bar for excellence and serving as role models for aspiring entrepreneurs.
The event was nothing short of spectacular, exuding an air of sophistication, empowerment, and well-deserved recognition. The night began with veteran journalist Ali Muhammed setting the stage with his eloquence, before passing the microphone to the stunning and talented TV presenter Oyinlola Sale, who captivated the audience with her charm and engaging hosting style.
Adding a melodic touch to the evening was Oprah Entertainment Live Band, led by the sensational Oprah Alade. Their electrifying performance had awardees and guests dancing, making the night even more memorable.

In his welcome address, Seye Kehinde, Publisher of City People Magazine, emphasized the essence of the annual awards ceremony—recognizing and encouraging female entrepreneurs who continue to break barriers. As City People celebrates 29 years of journalistic excellence, he reaffirmed the magazine’s dedication to spotlighting more successful women and inspiring future generations.

Delivering the keynote address was Ms. Sola Arobieke, Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun and Deputy Director-General of OgunInvest.
