Above is the title of a play,conceived by me,which will be staged,God willing,during the celebration of my 70th birthday,in 9 days time,Tuesday,27th October
Also,my biography,written by the world famous political scientist, Professor OBC Nwolise,my co-patriot and friend of over 30 years,will be presented to the world.
If there is a word like “UBELIEVABILITY”,that is the summary of my birth,youth and adulthood.
Or how does one describe the very prolonged labour that almost cost Mother’s life,until God spoke,and I finally came out to the world -over 10 hours after hanging between life and death,in her womb.
After being my primary school’s(*7th-Day Adventist Primary School,Ita Saku,Oke Foko,Ibadan)class captain from Class 2(1959) to Class 3(1960);Class 4(1961);School Mailboy in Class 5(1962)and School Senior Prefect in Class 6(1963) only to ‘lose’ the prefectship,because the Western Nigeria Ministry of Education annulled our class.Why?
Or my unexpected recall,in February 1984,as Press Secretary to the new MilitaryGovernor of old Oyo State,after being sacked from the same position three months earlier,for “being too loyal to former Governor ‘Bola Ige,SAN”.

Mother,Mama Mopelola,and my humble self,Oloye ‘Lekan Alabi,Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland and the first Culture Ambassador of the National Museum and Monument,Ile If e,on our visit on Sunday,6th September,last month,to my uncle,the late Pa Haroun Durodola’s home ,Ile Tuntun,SW1/60,Gaa Area,Isale Osi,Ibadan,Oyo State,where she eventually gave birth to me -with the last breath in her mouth.Mother was moved,on the order of my paternal grandmother’s older sister,Mama Adeola Durodola,alias ‘IYA ALARO’,from our home,Ile Ekerin Ajengbe,SW1/131,Isale Osi,Ibadan,after her very prolonged labour,to the home of IYA ALARO’s son,Pa Haroun Durodola.
Pa Durodola’s corpse attracted national and international attention on Saturday,6th August,1988,because it had remained intact (undecomposed),16 years after burial!
