The Church of the Lord (TCL) Worldwide held its Annual General Conference from May 4th -10,2026, at its Ecumenical Centre and International Headquarters in Ogere-Remo, Ogun State.

The theme is “The Marvellous God.

The Primate called on Nigerian youths and Christians to actively participate in governance and politics to promote accountability and national transformation.

The Primate added that “good governance can only be achieved when competent, visionary, and morally upright citizens engage constructively in the democratic process.”

The conference, chaired and declared opened by His Holiness, Primate Rufus Okikiola Ositelu, examined several national issues, including insecurity, economic instability, unemployment, educational challenges, and the influence of technology and social media on society.

It also called on religious leaders to continue promoting peace, tolerance, and interfaith dialogue amid rising tensions in parts of the country.

The Primate further urged Nigerians “to remain hopeful, patriotic, and actively engaged in efforts aimed at transforming the country for present and future generations.”

The conference called on national leaders and health institutions to collaborate more effectively with the World Health Organisation and other global health bodies to strengthen preparedness for future pandemics and public health emergencies. It recommended increased investment in healthcare infrastructure, disease surveillance systems, local vaccine production, medical research, and emergency response mechanisms.

Primate, however, encouraged believers to remain devoted to God, uphold righteousness, and demonstrate unwavering faith in the limitless power and goodness of our marvellous God in all circumstances of life.
