Happygems farms was established in 2017 in Ikire, Osun State. It is on 18 acres of land with 25,000 birds. We have fish pondas well. We have Cassava Plantation. We have Maize Plantation as well. But our main business is fish pond. We have Catfish, broilers, layers, we have eggs in thousands that we supply to our clients. We have both local and outside customers.
Our headquarters used to be in Ikire, but now it is in Abeokuta. In Abeokuta, we have 50,000 layers and that gives us like 5,800 eggs on a daily basis. So we need customer to patronise us. We have local customers. We have distributors. We are calling on more people to be our distributors. So that we can go across Nigeria.
We have just acquired another farm at Agbara in Ogun State. We do only layers there. The layers produce Eggs as well. We sell the old layers as well after they finish producing eggs within a year. We sell them off and breed an other one. We have a branch in Ibadan as well. We do broilers and layers in Ibadan. When you have your festive periods we sell it off. We have another department where we do frozen chicken only. We have a coldroom. We have like 10 tons of coldroom. So, we can stone our frozen chicken too. This is in Ikire. That is where we process our broilers, then we sell to supermarkets and we have in Ibadan as well.
You have a way you run all these your businesses farms, schools with ease. Its like second nature to you. How do you co-ordinate all these operations?
Well, maybe because I like business. I have been into business since I was 18 years old. Since my early years in the University. So, I like anything business. I hate sitting down idle. The school is my passion. That is my main job. The farm is my husband’s initiative. But I am the business person. The school is my main job that is what everybody knows I do in the United Kingdom. Alexes Promotion is a partime job. Happygem is my main job. I run 9 schools in the United Kingdom. They are all private schools. I take care of children from Age O, from the hospital, as soon as they give birth to the child. I can take care of the child, to 16 years old. We have different branches, with different age range in London, in the United Kingdom. That is why I came to Nigeria to have something like that in Nigeria to give people the opportunity. I deal with Special-Educational-need-children. That is what I do. I know a lot about majority of the specially educational needs, autism, speech and language A DHD.name it. I am experienced in all of them. That is the reason why I want to bring my expertise to my country as well. We have a school in Festac, that started last year. We have just opened the one in Lekki last Monday.
I am planning to give the children in Nigeria, the opportunity as well. Last months, I started an educational-line reality show to give children in Nigeria, the opportunity, especially those that are struggling to send their children to school. The 1st Prize was $2,000 dollars. The 2nd Prize was $1,500 dollars and the 3rd Prize was $500 dollars. And we have 3 winners already. We finished on the 26th of April. Anything about the children is my passion.
That is what I do. I have a Foundation as well. I do a lot with the Foundation, all funded by me. I don’t take money for it. Its in the Bible that Givers don’t lack. So, I have in United Kingdom and in Nigeria as well. I take care of Widows and children from Orphanage homes. I do that, but I don’t make it loud. I have like 500 widows I take care of and children, on a monthly basis and God has been very faithful.
