Mathew Olatosho Oshoffa is the Shepherd in Charge of the Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters, Ketu, Lagos.
A few days back, he was honoured by the Southern Youth Forum. He was presented with the Nelson Mandela Leadership Award Series For Excellence and Integrity. He was honoured with the NIGERIA @ 60 Youth Role Model 2020 in recognition of his leadership skills in the liberation of anything that has to do with the course of youth upliftment and unity among the nation at large, using the work of God as a yardstick in addressing various issues of our dear nation Nigeria, ensuring that he has been, a motivation to youths of the nation of large who have in one way or the other had to pass through his tutelage. Let’s tell you history more about him.
About 51 years ago, God made a fulfillment of his promise to the founder of Celestial Church of Christ, Pastor Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa, that he would give him a male child that would later become the shepherd of his flock in CCC. Precisely on Monday, January 19, 1970, one of Oshoffa’s wives, late Mother-in-Celestial gave birth to the promised child, named Mathew Olatosho Oshoffa. There is no need to wonder how it became known that the child added to the family of the great CCC founder on that day was the one the Almighty God had spoken of in several prophetic messages, through various sources, long before then. The baby boy was unique in the manner God had stated through numerous prophets.
Tosho Oshoffa was born with a special tooth, as prophesied before his birth. As the boy, Olatosho Oshoffa, grew up with several teeth emerging in his mouth as any other child, the tooth with which he was born became distinct from all others.
It came as a coloured tooth in front of his upper jaw. This was as stated emphatically by God in the numerous prophesies.
To reflect his awesome power, when Tosho Oshoffa grew up and felt it was odd to have a tooth that is so clearly different from all others in his mouth, especially as it was noticeable whenever he flashed a smile, being someone who is ever smiling, he approached a dentist to pull it out because he considered it embarrasing. Just as requested, Tosho’s coloured tooth was extracted by the medical expert. But surprisingly, despite being a full-grown adult when the tooth was removed, science was outrightly defied as God proved His supremacy and the white tooth that was placed in same place, where the earlier one was removed, changed colour to look like how the extracted tooth looked. That, till today, remains a wonder which no man can possibly explain, except to assert that God’s work or decision cannot be changed by anyone. Tosho Oshoffa began his elementary education in Porto-Novo, where he was born. He was later taken to Cotonou, Republic of Benin’s capital city for a continuation of his education. He attended Saint Rita College, Cotonou, before his relocation to Nigeria, as he joined Adebayo Mokuolu, Anthony Village, Lagos. The school was later moved to Ogba-Ikeja, within same former Federal Capital City, where he sat and other courses, both in Nigeria and overseas. As prophesied, young Tosho Oshoffa evangelical ministry began while he was still in a tender age, but was only a 15 year-old, when his father. Pastor SBJ Oshoffa died on September 10, 1985. He has since then not given up dedication of his life in service of God. Having lived in various countries in Africa and other parts of the world, Tosho has become multi-lingual in conversation or communication. This has, no doubt, helped him in his to God. He became an Assistant Shepherd in CCC Munich Parish One, in Germany, in the 1960s, before moving over to Dakar, capital of Senegal, where he worked with the Lord at Saint Michael Parish of the Church. The child of promise was later appointed Personal Assistant to his eldest brother and Spiritual Head of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide, his eminence, Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa on December 25, 2002, served in that capacity for 13 years. He became the Shepherd-in-Charge of Celestial Church of Christ International Headquarters, Ikosi-Ketu, Lagos, almost two years ago – precisely, February, 2019.
Superior Evangelist Mathew Olatosho Oshoffa, who is married with children, has his family in France, from where he was recalled to his current position in CCC. He is a highly respected revivalist and humble preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
