Hajiya Aisha Alhassan, the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development has reiterated her commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking at the 18th Regular National Council Meeting by the Women Affairs and Social Development held in Lagos on Thursday, Alhassan said she would stay in the ruling party to contest the 2019 governorship election.
She said, ”Contrary to whatever speculations going round, I will remain in APC to contest Governorship election of Taraba State.”
The Minister while calling on women to come out and actively participate in the coming election, said she would formally go back to her constituency do the needful ahead of next month primaries.
She, however, urged Nigerian women not to leave politics for men alone, adding that Nigerian women must emulate her fighting spirit as President Muhammadu Buhari had assured her that she would not be rigged out
