While some Muslims are still observing the last day of the fast, Ibadan Chief Imam, Sheikh AbdulGaniyy Abubakri (a.k.a Agbotomokekere) led some Muslim faithful to observe eid prayer which signifies the end of the Ramadan fast.
The federal government had announced Wednesday, May 12th and Thursday, May 13th as public holidays before the Sultan of Sokoto and head of Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs declared Wednesday as the last day of Ramadan, having not sighted the crescent.
