Kemi Adetiba Set To Release ‘King of Boys’ II

Award-winning Nigerian filmmaker and TV director, Kemi Adetiba, has revealed plans to make a sequel to ‘King of Boys’, her political thriller movie premiered in 2018.

The movie followed the story of a businesswoman and philanthropist who gets caught up in power tussle and a game of trust that eventually threatens everything around her on account of her growing political ambitions.

It has since met widespread acceptance among film lovers both locally and in the diaspora and was enlisted among the Nigerian movies screened for the second edition of the Nollywood in Hollywood film showcase, which held in California.

Adetiba took to her Twitter handle some days back to engage fans who registered their divergent feedbacks and conspiracy theories as regards ‘King of Boys’.

She also spoke about her efforts towards making a sequel to the much-acclaimed thriller.

On conspiracy theories, the film director said she has fears about sharing the script for the sequel with anyone and would go as far as shooting three alternative denouements to prevent fans from discovering how the movie would end before it’s release.

“I’m even afraid to share the script with anyone at this point. Even folks that NEED to read it. As I’ve mentioned before, even if you manage to get your hands on a script, none will have the final scene. And we will shoot three alternate endings cause I don’t trust you all,” she wrote.

“All these conspiracy theories! With the way y’all are acting, I definitely will need a lockdown on the KOB 2 set, with everyone signing airtight NDAS.”
