The Ladies Christian League Society of Anglican Church of the Ascension, Opebi embarked on their usual outreach to Special Correctional Center for Boys, Oregun on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.

The theme for this year’s outreach was “Not Forgotten, Not Forsaken: Your Future is Bright.” They also made special donations to the home.

According to the President of the Ladies Christian League, Belinda Amao, the special correctional centre for boys was adopted by the society over two decades ago and every year they commit to a project for the home no matter how small or large.

They usually inquire a list of pressing needs according to priority and this year, wash hanging line was one of their top priorities.

They did a physical check and actually noticed that the boys spread their wash on the lawn. This is what led them embarking on this project this year to the glory of God Almighty. In addition, they donated some mattresses and would be upgrading this in due course.

She added that the boys are their hope for tomorrow and they must not be forgotten because God will never forsake them.

The Ladies Christian League will continue with their outreach and prayers for the boys, with God helping them to achieve it.
