•How Our 30 Big Babes Rocked The Burial
A popular hall in Ikeja called “The Event Centre” came to life on 25th March 2022, as over 30 society big babes and friends of London based society lady, Olufemi Jeyifous turned up for her father’s burial ceremony in Lagos. Olufemi Jeyifous is the first child of her late father, Pa Adeyemi Bennet Jeyifous who died recently at the graceful age of 81. He was survived by his loving wife Bisi and four successful children; Olufemi, Adekunle, Omoniyi and Bisola.
Celebrating the life and time of Pa Jeyifous was remarkable and glamorous. The ceremony began a day before the final burial when Christian Wake-keep was held at the Surulere Baptist Church along Ojuelegba road in Surulere, Lagos. The church also hosted the burial the following day; Friday 25th March 2022. Around 8 am on that day, there was a Lying-in-State where the body of the deceased was displayed at the premises of the same church. Family, friends and well-wishers were allowed to have a glance at him and give him last respect before the commencement of the burial service after which his body would be laid to rest.
Late Pa Jeyifous got the accolades he deserved. He was a prominent member of the church. There he worshipped till death. He was an elder figure of the church having held many enviable positions as patron of two different groups in the church; church ushers and the young men Christian League (YMCL). He also held the position of the President of the Baptist Brotherhood in the church. His philanthropy gesture is worthy of note. No wonder the church held a befitting burial service in honour of one of its icons. He was indeed helpful to the work of God and members of Surulere Baptist Church would forever remember him. Immediately after the church service was concluded, Pa Jeyifous’s body was ceremoniously taken to his residence in the Ogba area of Lagos state where he was buried.
Following the burial ceremony was a grand reception organized by Femi and her siblings. They hosted the entire family and their guests who travelled from far and near to take part in the celebration. The reception party was a classy one held at the Event Centre, behind MKO Abiola Gardens in Ikeja. It was graced by many socialites and celebrities in town and outside the country. They came in their numbers to merry and celebrate with the ever-trendy Femi and her loving siblings on the burial of their deceased father.
Olufemi alone was able to pool over 30 society ladies to the party. Some of them travelled home from their respective place of dwelling abroad. They are beautiful, highly trendy and stylish ladies. They are stunning beauties like Nike Shittu, Ayo Lamina-Abu, Tutu Boston, Peju Oloyede, Barrister Rita Opuoru, Bisola Abiodun, Lanre Williams, Olori Fehintola Abdul, Juliet Odesanya, Rhoda Alakiu, Rhoda Obeto, Tegah Joy, Tayo Lawson, Bidemi Ajayi, Bisi Adesanya, Esther Ajiboye, Nkechi Olisa, Bola Saka, Sumbo Bada, Busola Odukoya, Linda Akinfolarin, Bunmi Shafe, Yeye Mrs Bukky Faleke, Dayo Shittu, Yinka Akinsola and among others.
Their appearance and activities at the party brightened the mood of the day. They elegantly rocked the occasion in Aso-Ebi Ankara making different but lovely style statements. It was a showcase of beauty and fashion at its best. The musician on stage, the Melody Spinners Royal band, a very creative and entertaining music band gave his very best as he dazzled for hours at the party. It was an evening of total fun for the hosts and their guests. Olufemi and her siblings, Olufemi, Adekunle, and Omoniyi had splendid moments with their respective guests at the party. They gave their guests a worthwhile reception as there were enough foods and drinks in place and lots of gift items were distributed as souvenirs in appreciation to guests that came in their numbers to celebrate with them.
