He doesn’t operate a normal barbing saloon that people see every day. His saloon stands out among others.

Besides providing quality and unique services to his customers, the atmosphere of his saloon (Kayzplace) is very friendly, homely and provides entertainment for patrons to make them feel very comfortable and very relaxed, which people can also network and share ideas. His shop also has a game centre, executive lounge for VIPs, he equally set up indoor games in the saloons for customers to engage themselves in before they get to barb their hair instead of the usual just waiting and probably watching to or listening to music which is applicable to most shops in Lagos.

Kufre, besides being a successful entrepreneur with over a decade years of experience, is also an employer of labour as many youths are working under him.

Kufre and his team’s ability to render quality services and put smiles on the faces of clients, has attracted the patronage of celebrities it is, therefore, not a surprise that his saloon keeps.

In one of his interviews, Kufre an indigene of Akwa Ibom told City People how he started the barbing business. According to him, he had never wanted to work for anyone in life believing that his employer won’t be able to give him what he spends daily.

“After my graduation, I sought admission into the higher institution for several years but all efforts failed and I gave up that dream out of frustration. When I was in technical school, I used to have a saloon and that was where I got my pocket money. After graduating from secondary school, my father asked me to go and manage the saloon. Prior to that time, I used to employ people working in the salon. One day, my father chased away the two barbers’ working for him and said if I wanted to be collecting any money from the store, I should be doing the haircut myself. When the money on me got finished, I was forced to open the shop and start hair cutting myself and that was how barbing started for me”. I accompanied my brother out one day and I saw a big barber’s shop on Lekki, I worked there as an apprentice for 7 years and decided to open mine in 2012”. He is happily married and they are blessed with 4 children.
