The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Lagos State Branch, is calling on individuals and professionals to attend the Mandatory Continuous Professional Development (MCPD) program for 2023. The theme of the program is “Opportunities and Challenges in Joint Venture and Development Lease“. The program is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023, at the NECA Centre, Alausa, Lagos.
The Chairman of the Branch MCPD program, ESV Godspower Omozusi, Principal Partner, GP Omozusi & Co, released the schedule of programs. The program will feature Mr. Akintola Oladejo, the Chief Executive Officer, Prestigious Homes, as the Lead Speaker. He will speak on the theme, while Mr. Ayo Olanrewaju Kuyebi, CEO, GMH Luxury Limited, will discuss the “Issues Relating to Financing, Sharing Ratio and Premium in Joint Ventures“.
All members of the Branch, students of real estate, and stakeholders in the real estate industry who want to update their knowledge of the industry are expected to attend the one-day capacity building seminar. The seminar will address and clarify the business potentials of Joint Ventures and Development Lease deals, as well as the issues inherent in the partnerships. Additionally, other renowned, knowledgeable, and highly competent real estate professionals have been scheduled to impact the participants as speakers and facilitators.
ESV Okpaleke Francis Chukwuma, a Fellow of the Institution and Managing Partner, Mark Odu & Co, will speak on the topic “Exploring Options for Conflict Resolution Joint Venture“. Engr. Kayode Olorunfemi, CEO, Caih Resources Limited, and ESV Shonibare Ibidapo, Principal Partner, Dapo Shonibare & Co, would handle “Strategies for Off-plan in Joint Ventures” and “The Legal Aspects of Joint Venture and Development Lease,” respectively.
The program promises to be informative and insightful.
Upon approval by the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria (ESVARBON), the program certificate is awarded with a 3-point mark for membership upgrade. The registration fees are as follows: Fellow – ₦20,000.00, Associate – ₦15,000.00, Probationer – ₦8,000.00, Student – ₦5,000.00, Non-member – ₦25,000.00, and Virtual – ₦15,000.00.
