Hafsah Mohammed has been making waves on Instagram. Her last post got over 1000 likes in less than 24 hours, and she appears in our discovery page more often than Solange. Here’s the reason: she has been able to funkify the term “modest fashion”, which is often still sadly and wrongly perceived as ‘boring’ or ‘old-fashioned’.
In a statement on her blog, she said,
“I decided to start blogging again with a whole new different concept and idea… I’m amazed and crazy inspired at how the media has changed the whole idea of modest fashion and will want to be a part of that change.
Although I’m still very new to the idea of modest fashion even if I’ve been a Muslim all my life, I would like to inspire other girls as I have been inspired by bloggers like Dina Torkia, Nooraurora, Nura Lailalov & Nabilabee”
“Be your own kind of beautiful” is her mantra, and with that she takes each trend by storm while paying homage to higher necklines, longer hemlines and loose fitting clothes.
She also mentioned in a blogpost, that;
“The 90’s shirt under a slip dress trend is one of my favorite trends, and I’m not letting go anytime soon. Also, you guys are about to see the pants under a dress a lot on me.”
Beyond her style, Hafsah is known for her YouTube tutorials that cover topics from how to tie a ‘low bun head-wrap’ to “How to take and edit a perfect flatlay with your phone”, as well as her own line of modest, modern and minimal clothing, Elora Collection.
It’s obvious that she’s ready to go all the way out with modest fashion, and as the cult following of people who adore her style grows, she promises to keep slaying.
“It’s a new year, and I can’t wait to experiment with my fashion. It’s my favorite thing to do!”
