Glory be to God,as Chief ‘Folake Solanke, First Lady Senior Advocate of Nigeria is 89 years old today. We wish Mama Solanke, who has many firsts, national and international, to her distinguished self, many happy and glorious returns. Amen.
Amongst others, she was the first female commissioner in the regime of retired Brigadier Oluwole Rotimi, a former Military Governor of  the now-defunct Western State of Nigeria; the first and only female Chair of Africa’s first television station, the defunct Western Nigeria Television(WNTV)and the Western Nigeria Broadcasting Service(WNBS);the first Yeyemofin of Ife;the first non-white President of Zonta International etc,
