Nollywood star actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie and her husband, Odianosen Okojie, are expecting the arrival of their fourth child.
The actress took to her social media page on Wednesday to break the good news.
She said after her third child, she thought she had given up on childbearing until she discovered she was carrying another pregnancy.
“We’re having a baby. I’ve always wanted 4 kids…. always. However, after 3 kids, I thought I had retired from the baby-making business,” she wrote, accompanied with a picture of herself and her husband.
“So a while back, we found out we had a baby on the way.
“I can’t explain the joy and peace expecting our new baby has brought, or the cravings for food that have followed. I get so emotional easily, in fact right now I’ve started crying from joy again.
“I’m sharing this with you my family for life, hanging on since day 1, growing with my family and I and always showing all the love. I love you all right back. Baby Okojie 2020 getting ready. God bless you all!!”
Mercy Johnson had in 2017 begged fans to pray for her marriage to last after seeing several celebrities’ marriages crumble.
Born on August 28, 1984, the actress has enjoyed a remarkable career featuring in several Nollywood movies.
She was among the women honoured at the 2018 edition of Exquisite Lady of the Year (ELOY) Awards. In May, 2018, she announced the death of Elizabeth Johnson, her mother.
In December 2017, her husband also announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).
