The debut of City People Magazine Twenty Five years ago brought in a fresh vista and enthroned the new genre of journalism which makes the people and lifestyle the main focus of the publication, whilst entertaining, educating and informing, It has remained a reading pleasure from the first edition. But City People is much more than another Magazine. That the publication has gained such a wide acceptance within and outside the shores of Nigeria and continues to soar, even with the advent of social media, is a testimonial to the quality of your vision and the tenacity and agility of the management in adapting to changing environment.
As the Governor of your home state, I am particularly elated that you have deepened
the proud heritage of our state as the cradle of journalism, exemplified the
indomitable spirit of our people, and enhanced the frontline positions of our
sons and daughters in all spheres of human endeavours. Whilst we celebrate your
achievements that are subject of great applause on this silver anniversary, my
prayer is that your best is yet to come.
