Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, 9th National Assembly, President Buhari

Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has defeated Senator Ike Ekweremadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to emerge the new Deputy Senate President of the 9th Assembly.

Omo-Agege polled 68 votes of the 107 total vote cast to beat Ekweremadu, who got 37 votes.
