On 29th December, 2022, the sleepy Ilisan remo town in Ogun State came alive. It was a special day set aside for the coronation of Chicago-based magnate, Otunba Babatunde Akeem Osinowo and wife, Oluwatosin Balqis Osinowo bagged chieftaincy titles as Otunba and Yeye Otunba Gusenmade Ademo of Ilisan Remo respectively.
The installation ceremony for the lovely couples became the talk of the town as many of their friends and associates flew into Nigeria to witness the ceremony.
Many of them came from Chicago in the United States of America. There were also quite a number of guests who are members of the Afrodiaspora Family in North America. Their presence at the ceremony was worthy of note, as they added Glamour to the occasion.
The installation rites were held at the palace of the highly revered Olofin of Ilisan-Remo, His Royal Highness, Oba (Barr.) M.O.M. Sonuga. They were installed in accordance with the Culture and Tradition of the land, while royal fathers from neighbouring communities took turns to bless Otunba Osinowo and his beautiful wife. This was done right before family, friends and well-wishers as well as the chiefs of the land.
Immediately after the installation ceremony was concluded, all roads led to Babcock University Cafeteria Hall where Otunba Akeem and his wife hosted their guests to a classy reception party.
The reception party was anchored by Olootu Yusuff Olamide. The MC did remarkably well in delivering the programme slated for the glamorous event. Notable among the high points of the programme is the grand entry of the newly installed Otunba Gusenmade Ademo and his wife. They were accompanied by the popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Abdulahi Araokanmi Al-Mintiq of As-Sa’adat Arabic Western Educational Institution. Meanwhile relatives of the couples join them as they gain entrance into the reception hall. The Islamic scholar later took time to extol Otunba Akeem and his wife as he congratulated them over the chieftaincy title. He however prayed for them as well as the king and guests at the reception.
Another notable highpoint are special recognition of dignitaries and the arrival of Kabiesi into the hall. He was accompanied by his loving wife, Olori Folashade Fausiyat and titled chiefs. They came in their numbers to felicitate with their illustrious son.
Alhaji Musiliu Haruna Ishola was on stage to entertain the celebrants and their guests. The ace Apala musician and his band performance spiced up the party while the entire hall was enjoying and rocking the music. They all had a remarkable reception party.
The man of the moment, Otunba Babatunde Akeem Osinowo is an Ilisan-remo born philanthropist-cum-magnate. He runs Dee-Wyse Group of companies, a stream of business ventures which cover Automobile, haulage and logistics, realtors, rental services, catering services, and ranch farms. Otunba Akeem is also the founder of Dee-Wyse Foundation (DWF), a non-profit organisation which attends to the well-being of vulnerable children and widows by empowering them to break hardship and making them self-reliant.
