On Tuesday, 22nd November, 2022, the Party Managers Association of Nigeria (PAMAN), held it’s 2nd year anniversary at The Event Centre, Alausa, Ikeja.
PAMAN was formally created on 24th August, 2020 with the sole aim of creating a ‘breathing space’ for all party managers which include: Event Managers, Caterers, Cocktails and Drinks Suppliers, Event Directors, Bakers, Alaga Iduro, Dj, Photography and Videography Service, Live Band, Rental Services and lots more.
The Association has the vision of raising world class party managers delivering best customer services. Who are the members of PAMAN? The event started with the chairman’s opening speech. The Chairman, PAMAN Board of Trustees is Mrs. Adebimpe Akinfolajimi started her opening speech by welcoming all the participants and welcomed all the eminent speakers and invited guests who were there to honour their invitation. It is my pleasure to welcome all the participants today to the 2nd edition of the Party Managers Conference, PAMCON 2.0. I especially want to recognize and welcome all the eminent speakers and Invited guests, our patron, Mr. Wale Ahmed, presidents and executive members of the various events associations, and distinguished individuals from different walks of life, who have gathered here to honour our invitation. We remain indebted to you for making PAMCO 2.0 a reality today.”
“I’d like to begin by giving a brief introduction to PAMAN and possibly describe what we stand for and do.”
“When the Covid-19 pandemic hit in 2020, I and some friends sensed the frustration and confusion that befell event professionals due to lockdown and restrictions. The Covid-19 pandemic was the first of its kind at least in our generation. Many of our colleagues that couldn’t cope dropped out of the event business and pitched survival somewhere else. It was at that moment we decided to create an association that would serve as a ‘breathing space’ and an umbrella body for all event professionals.”
“To the glory of God, PAMAN was formally organized on 24th August, 2020 with the sole aim of connecting party managers who will be committed to their personal and brand growth, delivering the best customer service, and thereby flourishing.”

After the chairman’s speech, MC TMO, invited the speaker to their seats, then called them one after the other to the podium for their lecture.
The first speaker was Mrs.Oluwafunbi Akinyosore, the CEO of Dumanis Events. She spoke at length about how event planners can become wealthy professionals by investing in their staff.
She laid emphasis on treating the staff nice and praising the qualities in them and making them professionals too. She said “ Nobody is an island of knowledge, so, as an event planner you have to give listening ears to everyone working under you, especially your servers because they are the ones portraying your brands on the field. And the succes or failure of any party manager depends on the staff”.
After her lecture, she was presented with an award as the best supporting brand by PAMAN.
The second speaker was Dr. SEYE KEHINDE, the Publisher of City People magazine. He also spoke at length on how event planners can become wealthy professionals by investing in their craft.
He said that its not only by investing in their staff, that an event planner also has to invest in their craft. He said “A party manager has to also put more into his craft, learn more about his craft, do researches, find out what people are doing differently in that field, and different ways to improve his or her abilities.
After his lecture, he was honoured and was presented an award.
The third speaker was Engr. Mustache K. Lusby, the MD/CEO Kontz Engineering Limited. He spoke on Security. He shared Security tips on how to make sure our events are well secured.
He said you first have to have a background check on your staff when hiring. This is to help the event planner to be sure that they are not hiring the wrong person.
He also said that another thing to do is a survey of the event centre one will be choosing and its environment.
He also shared the D.P.O of each constituency and their numbers.
There was also a Wellness coach, Obi Tochukwu Tina, who spoke about the need for exercise and eating well. She lectured on taking the right food into the body system. She said that exercises go a long way in keeping the body active and healthy. Mrs. Obi invited her mentor, a Lagos Nutritionist, who,shed more light on eating well and taking the right nutrients supplements.
After the lectures came the presentation of awards to some outstanding members of the group, after which the Vote of thanks was said by Mrs. Bolatito Oladele, Chairperson, PAMCON 2.0.
AND THE DINNER FOLLOWED
The red carpet started few minutes past 4pm, all the guests and members were looking glamorous in their dinner gowns. They all graced the red carpet like kings and queens ready for their bouquet.
After the red carpet, the dinner itself commenced. The dinner party was anchored by MC Efizzy and Co-anchored by MC TMO. The guests were served delicious meals, there was a lot to eat, drink and snack on.
Bonix Drinks CEO, was also present at the event. She also lectured on how to deal with staff. She said ‘Your servers can either make you or break you.’ She gave little tips on how to deal with servers.
Some members were also presented awards for their outstanding roles in the association.
The awardee’s were LATEETOH EVENTS, Mrs. Bolatito Oladele, GLAMOROUS FRUIT, Mrs Aderonke Oyinkansola, EFIZZY MEDIA, Mr. Eyitayo Shalom.
Some new members were also inducted at the dinner party. They were welcomed warmly by the members of the association and were awarded their certificates.
VENDORS
The sumptuous meal was served by Urlabeecee Kitchen. The drinks was served by Bonix Drinks. Diamond Food and Drinks served the delicious garri and sea food. The snacks were catered for by; Glamorous Fruits, and Numero Uno.
