Upon the arrival of the Agency’s officials at the incident scene, it was discovered that an empty tanker with registration number XD 333RBC rammed into 2 commercial buses with registration numbers FXT346XV and KTU 168 XH respectively.
Four victims ( 3 male and 1 female) suffered severe injuries with one of the victims who suffered a severed limb. They were rescued by the Agency’s responders and stabilized by the Paramedic Unit of the Agency before all being transferred to the Lagos State Trauma Centre for further medical care.
Efforts are ongoing to recover the affected vehicles off the carriage way.
Traffic easing measures are in place while the heavy equipment SuperMetro has been activated to the scene.
