Re: Rumoured disqualification of Otunba Iyiola Omisore and six other aspirants

by Reporter

The attention of the Osun Rescue Mission Team has been drawn to a circulating rumour, further amplified by a few national dailies and online platforms, alleging the disqualification of  Distinguished Senator Iyiola Omisore and six other aspirants by the Screening Committee of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

We wish to categorically state that these reports are unverified, misleading, and should be treated as mere speculation. The leadership of the Rescue Mission Team is already engaging the appropriate organs of the party to ascertain the true position of things, and we are confident that due process, fairness, and transparency values our party upholds will prevail.

While we understand the anxiety this rumour has generated among party faithful, supporters, and the general public, we strongly urge everyone to remain calm and refrain from spreading unconfirmed information. The situation is currently being critically reviewed, and we assure all well-meaning stakeholders that the facts will be made public as soon as the necessary clarifications are concluded.

We deeply appreciate the numerous calls, messages, and expressions of solidarity from members of the Osun Rescue Mission Team, party supporters across the state, and concerned individuals who hold Senator Omisore in high regard. Your unwavering support reinforces our commitment to ensuring that truth triumphs over misinformation.

We therefore encourage all supporters to maintain confidence in the process, stay focused, and continue to uphold the progressive ideals that define our movement. Rest assured, every matter will be resolved and fully unveiled in due course.

Thank you.

Hon. Ajibola Famurewa
