Many people still can’t believe it that you decided to leave PDP of which you are a long standing member What really happened?
First of all, I have been emotionally disconnected from PDP long before the General Election because of the impunity displayed by the party leadership. Secondly in all those years I held no position in the party, so I could just wonder away. I stayed on because of my Governor whom we have mutual respect for each other. Thirdly when I joined the PDP it was known as PDP but today it has lost the name, rather it is tagged after people’s name, like Markafi’s PDP and Sherif’s PDP and you expect Senator Ita Giwa to be part of that joke. No thank you.
Why go to APC
APC offers me a stable platform to continue my political carrier. I don’t want to be watching my country Nigeria on television, I want to join hands to work to make Nigeria Great again. Am also sure that APC Government will finally resolve the Bakassi Resettlement issue.
Is your leaving the PDP tied to your 2019 ambition?
Any ambition is in the hands of God. As a politician, so long as you are alive you will always nurse one ambition or the other.
