The National Secretary, All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Mr Labaran Maku, has advised Nasarawa voters to reject the APC and the PDP because the duo had “betrayed public trust over the years”.
Maku, APGA’s sole governorship candidate in Nasarawa State for the 2019 polls, urged the people to vote APGA into power “and see wonders”.
He called on PDP and APC members to keep party affiliation aside and join him to rescue Nasarawa State from total collapse.
Maku spoke on Friday in Lafia, when he addressed his supporters that cut across party affiliations.
He particularly advised the voters to reject the current APC-led administration, alleging that the APC was “a party of injustice”.
“The APC is a party of injustice that is why governorship aspirants from the state petitioned their national headquarters to release the list of delegates expected to determine their fate during the primary election.
“The aspirants protested after discovering that people in power had substituted names of the genuine delegates with cronies that will help them rig the primaries,” he further alleged.
Maku said that people aspiring to be leaders must have the courage to challenge injustices being perpetrated by those in government.
“The APC is perpetrating injustices to its members in Nasarawa. Society must rise against all forms of injustice so as to ensure fair play to everyone,” he said.
Maku promised to ensure justice to everyone, irrespective of religious belief, tribe or political affiliation and also pledged to appoint more women into leadership positions because they had demonstrated a capacity to excel.
He promised to use the state’s security vote to establish cottage industries so as to generate employment for the youths.
Maku, who attributed the insecurity in some parts of the state to the insensitivity of the government, advised voters to use their electoral power to install a sensitive government that would place their welfare above any other consideration.
