In the last few months, one name that has kept recurring on the lips of many political associates or loyalists of the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is his son’s name, Seyi. Without seeing Seyi, it will be difficult for you to get the attention of his Dad, now that the election which will decide the next President of Nigeria is drawing close.
Give it to Seyi, he has mastered the game over a short period of time and he is currently playing it out big time. For any group or movement to stage any campaign for Asiwaju Tinubu, Seyi must be involved, if not such group will not be recognized. Seyi has practically become the toast of many party stalwarts and loyalists within a short period of time. Infact everybody wants to become Seyi’s friend now. He is the arrow head of his father’s campaign such that virtually all the states in Nigeria that the APC campaign has been flagged off, Seyi was always the centre of attraction. He does not just coordinate, he participates in all the programmes lined up for the event.
He has equally served as a bridge between his father and the youth as a whole. Seyi Tinubu was known as an entrepreneur, father and husband to the most loving wife, Layal Tinubu. He is the CEO of an out-of-home advertising company, Loatsad Promomedia Ltd, Patron to STL Polo Team and Member of the Board of several organizations but at this period, Seyi launched out.
Recently, Seyi has begun to raise the bar again, this time, in the area of politics. With his father gunning for Aso Rock, come 2023, Seyi’s focus has been on the youths. So far, he has made progress. In fact, because of him, Tinubu is getting more and more young people admitted to his camp and wishing to work with Seyi to make things better for everybody.
In this light, Seyi’s mediation is proof that he has a future in representative politics. He is always meeting with people from the different sectors in Nigeria. From entertainment, to politics, to business and others. He has always played a vital role in drawing up his father’s campaign strategy and parleying many people from different sectors. He has always done this to consolidate his father, Asiwaju Tinubu’s presidential bid.
There is no question about Seyi’s brilliance. Anybody that knows anything about him knows that he inherited that ingeminety that made his father stand out. Even so, Seyi’s mild-mannered disposition makes him even more of a magnet than Asiwaju so that people do not even pretend to blush when they ask for favours from Seyi.
And if you’re wondering why anybody would ask favours from a humble, laid-back family man, it is simple: Seyi has inherited some degree of influence in Lagos. There are several reasons for this influence. The most apparent one is the fact that Seyi’s father, Asiwaju, is the top candidate for the presidential position in the entire country. As the son of a potential president, this is a time that Seyi can call for winds and storms, especially in Lagos, the city he grew up in and loves.
But that is not all. Apart from his father’s influence, Seyi seems to have done well for himself. As the CEO of the prominent advertising company, Loatsad Promomedia Ltd, Seyi’s influence in the marketing industry in Nigeria is not small. Moreover, as a frontline member of the STL Polo Team, his social skills suggest excellence.
Seyi can be described as an all-around influential person. Some would say that he has become something of a power broker. Even though his personality runs along with such, there is nothing he can do about it as people are hell-bent on asking for his help regarding many political matters.
Seyi Tinubu is a Street Smart, humble and disciplined young man. He loves to look like a regular guy. You can easily find him wearing his trademark Fez Cap on tee-shirts and pants. He detests having a retinue of security guards and hangers-on around him. He prefers to go around unnoticed and also drives himself around town. He has been at the fore front of major rallies in Nigeria. He inaugurated the youth campaign organisation and led the youth match. He held a massive rally in Kano State in support of his father’s ambition. Also the Eko Youth Walk, organized by Tinubu support groups. Just a few weeks ago, Seyi was seen in a video that went viral engaging a large gathering of upwardly mobile Igbo upwardly mobile youths. The event was clearly organised for Seyi to market his father’s presidential ambition to Igbo Young boys. And from what we saw in the video, the idea was a brilliant one. All the Igbo guys in the hall were pleased to meet him. It is obvious, Seyi is the next big thing to happen for the youth in politics.

Seyi started by attending St Saviours school in Lagos, before moving to the UK where he attended Holmewood House School for his primary education and then went ahead to Milton Abbey before enrolling at Lincoln University. However he later attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore where he obtained a B.A in 2008. In 2010, he then proceeded to University of Buckingham where he graduated with LLB, Bachelor of Law.
Upon graduation, he returned to Nigeria and attended Law school before being called to bar in 2013. While in law school, he took up positions an intern at Oando PLc. He has also bagged a masters degree from the university of Buckingham in corporate and commercial Law.
Seyi’s love and passion for nation building and helping the underprivileged gave birth to TELD NGO founded in 2005. He is also the coordinator of Bola Tinubu Foundation which was founded in 2012.
