Residents of Romi Community in Kaduna State have declared their support for Governor Uba Sani’s continued leadership beyond 2027, citing visible development and improved living conditions under his administration.
The endorsement was made on Tuesday during a press conference held in Romi, where community leaders and stakeholders gathered to express appreciation for what they described as a “remarkable transformation” of the area.
President of the Romi Community, Comrade Yakubu Ali (Garkuwa), said the community had, for over three decades, suffered neglect and lack of basic infrastructure until the current administration intervened.
According to him, “For more than 30 years, Romi did not witness meaningful development. Today, that story has changed. We are now experiencing progress that many thought was impossible.”
Ali particularly commended the ongoing road construction project in the area, describing it as a major milestone that has brought relief and renewed hope to residents.
He added that the community’s support for Governor Sani is rooted in what he called inclusive governance and people-oriented policies.
According to him, the administration has created a conducive environment for businesses, reduced fear of arbitrary demolitions, introduced subsidised transportation, and ensured job security for workers in the state.
“Despite the economic challenges facing the country, Kaduna residents are experiencing a more manageable living condition compared to the past. The impact is real, and we are beneficiaries,” he noted.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the community, Rev. Dr. Aminu Ayuka, said the people of Romi are united in their decision to support the governor, pledging what he described as “total votes” in the next election cycle.
The community leaders offered prayers for the governor’s continued success and urged the government to sustain its development strides across the state.
