It was an evening of laughter, friendship, and Rotary spirit as the Rotary Club of Adeniyi Jones hosted its much-anticipated event, “An Evening of Comedy,” bringing together Rotarians, guests, and well-wishers for a night to remember. The event took place on a beautiful Sunday evening in July 2025 at the serene Erith Apartment & Suites, located at 5 Aderoju Adewuyi Street, Opebi, Lagos.
The comedy-themed gathering, which kicked off at 5 p.m. and lasted into the evening, was hosted by none other than Rotarian Guesti Dgunvander, popularly known as the Rotarian Mega President 2025–2026. As both a dedicated Rotarian and a seasoned comedian, his dual role on the night kept the audience thoroughly entertained, blending Rotary values with humorous reflections that resonated with members and guests alike.
The event served not only as a refreshing social engagement but also as a platform to usher in the Rotary year 2025–2026 in style. In her warm and heartfelt remarks, the United President 2025–2026, Rotarian Yetunde Ogunyankin (PHF), set the tone for the year ahead.
“Happy New Year to my Rotary family,” she began. “As we step into this new year together, I want you all to know how truly grateful I am to have you in my life. Your friendship, support, and dedication mean the world to me.”
She continued with an inspiring message of hope and unity:
“Here’s to more love, laughter, and unforgettable moments in the year ahead. I look forward to creating more beautiful memories with each of you. Wishing you all happiness, success, and blessings in 2025. Cheers to us and a fantastic New Year! Love you always.”
The night was a perfect blend of fellowship and entertainment, reinforcing the Rotary Club’s commitment to service with joy and bonding beyond meetings. Members and guests left with smiles, new memories, and a renewed sense of purpose as they looked forward to a promising Rotary year.
