Launches ₦120M Fundraiser
All roads will lead to the prestigious Shell Hall, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, as the Rotary Club of Victoria Island East hosts the swearing-in and fundraising ceremony for its 39th President, Rotarian Mokesioluwa Seun-Adedamola, PHF (fondly known as Akesi).
With the Rotary International theme for the year, “Unite for Good,” as the guiding compass, the incoming President’s vision is determined to give back to humanity, especially in the areas of Maternal and Child Health, Disease Prevention, and Hygiene Promotion. These critical areas also form part of Rotary’s Global Areas of Focus. The Club is committing to impactful, sustainable service projects throughout the Rotary year.
To make this vision a reality, the Club is targeting a ₦120 million fundraising goal, which would be used to fund projects that would totally transform the community. Already, philanthropic individuals and corporate organisations are heeding the call, with donations beginning to flow in ahead of the grand event.
The Rotary Club of Victoria Island East is part of a global network of professionals and changemakers committed to service above self. The Club meets every Tuesday, either online or at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos.
Supporters and well-wishers are encouraged to contribute to the cause through the following account. Rotary Club of VI East – Providus Bank, Account (Naira): 130733277, Account (USD): 1307332780
