We empowered this beautiful widow with just ₦𝟱,𝟴𝟬𝟬 to start a small drink business. Initially, she sold icy drinks the old way – in coolers, battling the heat, serving one customer at a time But her resilience was palpable. She worked tirelessly, and when we saw her determination, we knew it was time to level up. We blessed her business with a deep freezer – a game-changer!
Boom! The freezer unlocked her potential. More drinks, more storage, more customers. The business SPRINGED to life! Soon, young women in the community were flocking to buy drinks in packs from Mama – not to just quench their thirst, but to resell at retail and pay Mama back later. Zero upfront capital needed. She became a micro-distributor, empowering others.
Today, Mama doesn’t just run a business – she’s a lifeline. She supplies on credit, widows and young women sell, and they pay back when they earn. No stress, no predatory loans. Just empowerment, multiplied. When you empower a woman, you empower a nation – and Mama Tawakalitu is proof.
