New academic session commences again when school fees and, other expenses like stationery, school uniforms, sandals, school bags, lunch bags, with other academic materials that will make the new academic calendar year a smooth journey are paid and bought.
All these basic items are essential in contributing to the overall performance of students.
However, considering the current economic challenges of the country and the hardship individual goes through to meet these obligations, it is pertinent to state clearly, without being economical with the truth, that some parents need help especially the widows and widowers who hardly meet financial and parental obligations.
For the above reasons and beyond, Project Back to School was inaugurated three years ago to assist in the provision of these items to children of widows and widowers. It is not far from the truth that the little these indigent widows have can not be sufficient to take proper care of these students.
It was another fulfilling moment, at The Unity Centre, (Hon. Adewale Adedeji Constituency Office) along Ajuwon road, Elliot Bus stop Iju Ishaga Lagos where the program was help today. The reaching out project tagged “𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁” was 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 and 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 for the 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 of 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀 and 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀.
Notable items for academic activities ranging from 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗯𝗮𝗴𝘀, 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝗸𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀, 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 100 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝟯 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.
The students came in their numbers and were very happy to receive the items presented by 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 as support to encourage, improve their performances and reduce the financial burdens of the single parents at this time when pressures are high.
This, to us, is to further alleviate the hardship faced by the widows and widowers, at this time when they need to sort out so many pressing needs with meagre resources at their disposal.
We want to appreciate every donor who made this initiative possible. Without them, our activities might be limited.
