Taylor Swift arrives at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 20, 2018 in Las Vegas. Taylor Swiftis political after all.
The pop superstar announced Sunday she’s voting for Tennessee’s Democratic Senate candidate Phil Bredesen, ending her years-long refusal to enter into the political debate. And everyone, it would seem, has an opinion on TayTay’s opinion.
“In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” Swift wrote in an Instagram post.
Swift’s name trended on Twitter well into Monday morning as her fans on both sides of the political spectrum had their say. Of course, Bredesen was quick to thank the singer and song writter. Even her brother, Austin, jumped in. Check out some of the best celeb reaction on social media.

If you had told me two years ago Kanye would be running around in a MAGA hat while Taylor Swift was endorsing democratic candidates, I would have smacked you to the ground and stolen your wallet for wasting my time.
