How He Became Baba’s Trusted Aide
The relationship between Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church Of God and his second son, Pastor Leke, is like that of Siamese twins who can’t do without each other. Some simply call Leke, the Personal Assistant to his father. Some say he is his father’s eyes and ears. To others, Leke is just one of those on the entourage who move around with Pastor Adeboye. If you have met Pastor Adeboye at an event or they arrived while an event is ongoing, you would have noticed that Leke is not just an ordinary member around Pastor Adeboye.
He is a prominent figure within the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) community. He is the Pastor in charge of RCCG LSC The Bridge in Lagos and the youngest son of Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye.
He holds a significant position within the church hierarchy. Leke’s academic journey led him to study Aerospace Technology and Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire, England, followed by a Master’s degree in Engineering Project Management from Bournemouth University. Alongside his pastoral duties, he serves as the Principal Executive Assistant to his father.
The coordinator of the renowned Pastors Seeds Family amongst several other roles contributing to the Administration and Leadership of the RCCG. His personal life includes a marriage to Titilope Rachel Adeboye, with whom he shares 4 children. Beyond his religious and administrative roles, Leke is actively involved in Philanthropy, extending aid and support to those in need through various initiatives. Renowned for his dynamic preaching style, he passionately spreads the message of Salvation and Hope, particularly targeting the youth demographic with his energetic delivery and relatable approach.
He is the main person who makes things happen. Even at home, he is the one in charge. One of the Church Pastors told City People’s how (Pastor Leke) runs the church, the home front, and also conducts activities around his father. According to this man of God, Leke is the main man even at home. “Now that Baba (Pastor Adeboye) and his wife are aging gracefully many home decisions are now coming from Leke. And the only person they entrust the running of the home is their son, Leke.” “He also arranges Pastor Adeboye’s appointments. There are several people within the country and beyond who want to meet with Baba No person is allowed to get through to him unless they go through Pastor Leke. He is that so influential that even the closest Pastor to the G.O. can’t fix any meeting unless they carry Leke along.” We also gathered that within the camp, he is the main man.
Another source also revealed that, Pastor Leke is now like his father’s eye and ears. If you want an urgent meeting with him, it must be through him. Pastor Amos Fenwa revealed recently how Leke organised for him to meet Pastor Adeboye.
Despite the fact that he is also a respected man of God in his own right, he was only given 5 minutes to meet with Pastor Adeboye, after which he was respectably ushered out and the next person on the list ushered in.
Leke works with precision. He is so organised and strategic in his ways.
That is why Baba can’t do without Leke around him now. As he (Leke) knows what Baba needs and wants when they go for event. In most cases he (Leke) is the driver and also opens car door for him. In fact, he prepares his seat, monitors how others aids conduct their duties around Baba. He gives instructions no one can refute.
Pastor Oluwagbemileke Adeboye was born on May 20th, 1982, he Adeboye is the second son of the revered General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye and Pastor Mrs Foluke Adenike Adeboye. He is also a Senior Personal Assistant to the General Overseer (Worldwide).
Though born in Lagos State, Nigeria, Pastor Leke Adeboye spent a good part of his childhood at the Redemption Camp in Ogun State after the family relocated to the camp while he was just three months old. Growing up, Pastor Leke Adeboye attended the Command Secondary School, Apata, Ibadan and Kent Canterbury, England for his secondary school education before proceeding to the University of Hertfordshire, England for a degree in Aerospace Technology and Engineering. Pastor Leke Adeboye was awarded a honorary doctorate degree in Humanitarian and Engineering Science from the University of Civil Engineering and Management.
He has three other siblings – Pastor Adeolu Adeboye, late Pastor Oluwadamilare Adeboye, and Pastor Bolu Adubi. Like himself, his siblings are also pastors under The Redeemed Christian Church Of God.
Pastor Leke Adeboye is happily married to his heartthrob, Pastor Titilope Rachel Adeboye (Nee Odesola). They got married on 28th December, (year unknown). Pastor Titilope Rachel Adeboye is one of the daughters of Pastor Johnson Odesola, Assistant General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and an elder sister to Evangelist Mrs. Tolulope Mike-Bamiloye. Pastor Titilope graduated with a degree in Mass Communication and also holds a Masters Degree in International Business at Loughborough University.
