Although the ridiculously talented Chike didn’t win the first season of The Voice Nigeria – to the shock and disappointment of a lot of people – he certainly made his mark with the best (and most watched) blind audition of the entire competition, along with a bunch of great live performances.
Now, only two weeks after the winner, A’rese, released the stunning music video for her first single, “Uwe No”, the equally gifted Chike gives his own fans a reason to smile with the music video for his first single, “Fancy U”.

Although “Fancy U” doesn’t give Chike room to deliver those velvety vocals that won most of his fans over, the song is still a pretty catchy, feel-good love anthem – one that is sure to satiate his fan club (for now), while winning over people who never really got what all the fuss was about.
The music video certainly isn’t revolutionary, but it didn’t need to be. It’s a playful video depicting a simple love story – which is just what the song is about. So, now that the pesky ‘first single’ hurdle is out of the way, let’s see what else Chike has in store for those of us who are rooting for him
