Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is from Duguri Town, Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State.

Born into a modest family

He attended Duguri Primary School (1965-1971) and Government Secondary School Bauchi (1972-1976).

Earned Advanced Level Certificate from North-East College of Art and Science (1977-1979)

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Maiduguri in 1982.

He started out as a Journalist and worked with Mirage Newspaper and News Agency of Nigeria

He was a Civil Servant, He held various positions, including Director of Administration and Supplies at Nigerian Meteorological Agency

He was once a Senator and he represented Bauchi South Senatorial District from 2007 to 2010

He was a Minister of Federal Capital Territory. He served from 2010 to 2015 under President Goodluck Jonathan

He started out as a Governor of Bauchi State. He was elected in 2019 and re-elected in 2023

His notable Achievements  include spearheading Abuja’s infrastructural transformation as Minister of FCT

He launched initiatives to revamp healthcare delivery systems in Bauchi State

He constructed over 250km of roads in Bauchi State

Implemented policies to address insecurity and promote economic development

He is married to Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed and has children.
