Fast-rising Nollywood actress and model, Irewole Olaniyan, is steadily carving a name for herself in the Nigerian entertainment industry, and right now, she is one of the young faces getting a lot of attention especially in Nollywood.
Born on March 21, Irewole began her acting journey in 2014 before taking a break to focus on her education. Her return to the movie scene in January 2019 marked a turning point, as she came back more refined, determined, and ready to push her career forward.
One of the reasons she is currently “hot” in the industry is her bold screen presence and evolving confidence. Known for her daring and adventurous personality, her social media, especially Instagram, showcases a young actress who understands visibility and branding in today’s digital age. While her fashion choices often spark conversations, she has been clear that she remains authentic and unapologetically herself.
Interestingly, Irewole Olaniyan looks daring and adventurous. A visit to her Instagram page would also show that she has no qualms about baring a little skin. All these would make many believe that she wouldn’t consider it a big deal to act a nude scene in the movie. However, the actress ruled out. “I will never act in a sex scene. The most I can do is kiss. I have shared a kiss on set but it has never been awkward.”
On which actor she would like to share a kiss with, the actress blushed and said, “There’s no one for now; except you want me to mention Korean names.”

Olaniyan also maintained that she didn’t belong to the class of actresses who use the profession as a cover to practice glorified prostitution. She added, “I can’t say about anybody else but for me, I’m into acting because it is my passion. Right from my childhood days, I’ve always seen myself as an actress. I love being in a position where I can influence other peoples’ lives positively.”
Describing her experience in the industry so far, the actress said, “I started my career in 2014 but I went on a break to focus on school. I got back into the industry in January 2019. It has been hectic but I am still pushing. I, however, thank God because I’m fine. The journey has been smooth and rough. In the early days, it was quite difficult for me to get my lines correctly. But, I have started getting my lines now and saying the right things.”
The third-year Mass Communication student of Caleb University, also confessed that she hadn’t been having it easy combining her acting career and academics she stated, “It has been really tough. I haven’t responded well but at the same time, I am still putting in my best.”
The actress stated that though her Dad ‘has issues’ with her career, her mum loves it and is supportive. She also admitted that she knows the industry does not pay well, so she is involved in other businesses. According to her, “I am actually involved in a lot of things. I have a fashion line called Luxe By Ire.”
Beyond her on-screen persona, her story is one of persistence. She has spoken about the early struggles in her career, including difficulties with delivering lines, but has grown through consistency and practice. Her journey reflects both the “smooth and rough” realities of Nollywood, making her relatable to aspiring actors.
Another factor contributing to her rising profile is her entrepreneurial mindset. With her fashion brand, Luxe By Ire, she is not relying solely on acting, especially in an industry she acknowledges doesn’t always pay well. This business angle positions her as a young creative thinking beyond the screen.

Importantly, Irewole has also distanced herself from negative stereotypes in the industry. She has made it clear that her passion for acting is genuine and not a cover for anything else, emphasizing her desire to inspire and influence lives positively.
All these elements, her talent, bold personality, clear values, resilience, and business drive, are combining to make Irewole Olaniyan a name a lot of people are eagerly watching out for. In an industry constantly searching for fresh energy, she represents a new generation of actresses defining success on its own terms.
