As The Race For OGUN Governorship Hots Up
Senator Olamilekan Adeola, the Ogun West Senator who is popularly called Yayi is the governorship candidate to beat right now in Ogun State. He will definitely be running for governorship come 2027. And this is authoritative.
Although the next governorship election is still in 2027 all eyes are already on the Ogun West Senator as the best man for the job.
Although, he has not kicked off his campaign many people at the grassroot are already scheming for Yayi to be the next Governor.
He has covered so many grounds ahead of his competitors. He has Ogun West locked down. He is very active in Ogun Central. And in Ogun East, he is very visible. His popularity cuts across the 3 senatorial zones of the state.
He has embarked on mind-blowing empowerment programmes in the Yewa axis and he has been attending to the needs of those in other senatorial zones. He has been touching lives and giviving back to society for over 20 years.
City People gathered recently that this seasoned politician enjoys tremendous goodwill, built over time and he has a strong political machinery across the local government areas, and Senatorial districts. He also enjoys the confidence of a lot of the traditional rulers in Ogun State.
He has a firm grip of the politics of Ogun West where he hails from.
The permutation is that Ogun West has not produced a governor in the history of the state and so this time around, it must be the turn of Ogun West. One thing he has going for him is that he is an experienced politician. And he is also financially ready for the race. He is also very humble by nature.
The hottest gist right now in Ogun State is that, Yayi has been consulting widely across the state. And he is moving at the speed of light.
We can authoritatively reveal that, Yayi has been moving round the state to mobilise support, deploying resources and this has helped him gain support and traction.
Because of his generousity, a lot of groups and associations have come to like him with the result that right now he has won a lot of grassroot politicians to his side.
Yayi is from Yewa area. Although he tried to come out from Ogun State in 2014, he was alleged to have been blocked by the then Governor, Ibikunle Amosun who fielded another Yewa man. The same thing happened in 2017.
