ARRIVAL OF BIRTHDAY BOY AND HIS WIFE

The 50th birthday party of Honourable Olusegun Olulade aka Eleniyan which was held at the magnificent 10 Degrees on Billings Way, Oregun, Lagos, started a couple of hours behind schedule. It was scheduled to take off by 12 noon, but perhaps because of the heavy rains that lasted for hours, guests did not start arriving until much later in the day. But when it finally kicked off, it was on a powerful note. The birthday boy’s arrival into the hall along with his gorgeous looking wife caused quite a sensation in the hall. The couple had a massive crowd of people surrounding them such that you couldn’t see the celebrant and his wife. Everyone in the hall was on their feet, eagerly awaiting to get at least a glimpse of the celebrant. Adewale Ayuba was the musician on the band stand and he started with a powerful rendition to kick start the event.

AN ECSTATIC BIRTHDAY BOY AT HIS JOYFUL BEST

To say the birthday boy, Eleniyan, was ecstatic would be putting it mildly. Dressed in a glittering well cut navy blue Agbada, and with his wife by his side, he danced his heart out. To put it a bit more accurately, the celebrant danced like there would be no tomorrow. The handsome dude who looked way younger than his actual age, moved and grooved gingerly to the beats of the Bonsue Fuji king. Even his wife could not match him in the dance department, the birthday boy left her gasping for breath. In fact, it was as though Eleniyan was secretly ‘revenging’ for the way she too must’ve left him gasping for breath on their wedding day about 16-years ago. And indeed, it was sweet revenge.

MRS. MOSUNMOLA OLULADE’S YOUNG AND PRETTY LOOK

Anyone who knows Hon. Olusegun Olulade very well will tell you he’s a dashing looking man who knows how to dress well. Whether he’s dressed in English or native clothes, whatever he wears often sits pretty on his frame and fits him like a second skin. And he’s always looking fresh and younger than his age. Luckily for him, he married a woman who complements him in every way. She is equally an attractive woman, young looking and a stylish dresser too. Her glittering gown suited her figure nicely and brought out the youthful beauty in her. You will become even more impressed with her gorgeously youthful look when you get to know she’s a mother of three cute and playfully boisterous boys

TWO ABIRU BROTHERS DECLARE EARLY SHOWERS OF NAIRA RAIN

Usually, at events like this, you don’t get to see people getting all fired up right from the start to spray the celebrant that’s just stepping into the hall for the first time with money. They simply wait till its time for the celebrant’s dance before they unleash their crisp wad of naira notes on the celebrant. But not so for Hon. Olulade, the naira rain shower started from the very moment they arrived and stepped into the hall. And two of the Abiru brothers, Dele Abiru and Bankole Abiru preferably called Banky were two big boys who dazed the celebrant and his wife with crispy, sweet smelling N1,000 notes. It must’ve taken the couple a little over half an hour to finally make it to their seats. That was for how long the early rain lasted.

AYUBA AT HIS VERY BEST

The Bonsue Fuji King, Chief (Dr) Adewale Ayuba aka Mr. Johnson, was at his very best on this day. He never got a foot wrong. Every vocal note he took, along with the quality back up of his band boys, was on point. He sang his heart out. Looking dashing and ever young in a in nicely cut Guinea brocade native outfit, this multi award winning artiste showed why he has remained one of the most sought after Fuji acts in the country.

GBENGA ADEYING THE1ST AND AJOKE EWA-EDE ANCHORED EVENT

The event was anchored by the ever irrepressible and hugely loved comedian of the Federal Republic, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st and the pretty Ajoke Ewa-Ede. Olulade’s Hero and mentor right from when he was a young lad in secondary school.

After the opening prayer had been done, the Majority Leader of the Lagos House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade popularly called SOB was the first to step out and pay birthday tributes to the birthday boy. He said the one thing he loves about Eleniyan is his insistence on truth and honesty at all times. According to SOB, you can count on Hon. Olulade to deliver on any task given to him and he would even deliver beyond expectations.

THE ALARA OF ILARA’S REMARKABLE TRIBUTE

The royal father who led other royal fathers to the event was the Alara of Ilara, Oba (Dr.) Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo. He was elegantly dressed like the royal father that he is and he said quite nice things about the birthday boy when it was his time to pay tribute to the celebrant, Eleniyan. He said Hon. Olulade has always struck him as a respectful and humble young man. And like Hon. SOB, it was Eleniyan’s integrity that quickly got his attention about him. He added that Eleniyan was first his brother and then his son. And he wished him well. He went on to praise the celebrant’s amiable wife and prayed endlessly from the depth of his heart for the couple.

CELEBRANT’S WIFE PAYS GLOWING TRIBUTE

The adorable wife of the birthday boy, pretty Mrs. Mosunmola Olulade, was the next step to step out to say a few words about her husband. Usually, at her occasions like this, guests often look forward to hearing what the celebrant’s partner has to say about their spouse. The excitement is usually palpable. And Mrs. Mosunmola did not disappoint. She left no one in doubt as to the absolutely blissful marriage and home that she shares with her husband, Eleniyan. On her words, she said: “Its not because he is my husband, but I can tell you I have never met anyone so upright, sincere, selfless, loving, giving. Segun puts every other person before himself. In the home, he’s such a wonderful father. With the kids, he often turns himself into a kid too and plays with them. It’s amazing waking up to realize now that Segun is now 50 and everyone here can testify that he doesn’t look his age at all. He is my baby and

WHEN MRS. MOSUNMOLA OLULADE ‘SCATTERED’ THE HALL

While paying glowing tributes to her husband at 50, Mrs. Mosunmola Olulade, wife of the celebrant, dropped the bombshell that threw the entire auditorium into frenzy. At some point in between her speech, the delectable and extremely amiable woman who did not read from a prepared speech said: “Everyone can see that my husband looks young, he is 50 today but he actually looks like he is in his 20s, and I’m sure everyone can testify to that. But not only that, he is very, very active, very, very active. And the entire hall erupted into loud cheering and applauds for her candid description of the celebrant, her husband. She continued with her tribute, it was when she realized the cheering and applause had not gone down that she realized she had been misinterpreted. But trust this brilliant and confident woman, she paused in her tribute and stunned the already excited guests who were enjoying every line of her tribute when she said: “Well, well, I don’t know what you’re thinking about, but if you’re thinking about that one, yes, he is very, very active!” And this triggered loud chants of “Eleniyan! Eleniyan!” from the appreciative crowd of guests. She went on to call him baby, and added that she probably wouldn’t have been married if he didn’t marry her because he is the only man that can handle her. She described her hubby as a God fearing individual who puts God first in everything in everything he does.

CELEBRANT’S CHILDREN CELEBRATE DAD

Honourable Olusegun Olulade has three lovely boys, all cute as well and they all stepped on stage to celebrate their amazing dad in their different individual ways. First to celebrate their father was Seyi Olulade who did so with a soulful and impressive piano display. The young lad showed he has got tremendous skills on the piano and huge prospects as a pianist as well. The crowd appreciated him. While he was playing, his brother, Femi Olulade who rendered a poem he wrote titled, ‘My Super Hero’ began reading his poem. They both got a resounding round applause.

MC OLUOMO’S RISING PROFILE

When this celebrated socialite and top executive in the NURTW ranks, MC Oluomo, stormed the event, the entire atmosphere changed. Even the musician on the band stand, Adewale Ayuba, noticed the big personality that just stepped in with a large crowd following him and the moment he recognized who it was, he had to promptly acknowledge his presence. And it was remarkable to see that everyone on every table he approached rose quickly to their feet to greet him. For over ten minutes after he came in, he was still on his feet, greeting and shaking hands with guests and gladly accepting to take selfies with the dozens of people who requested to have one with him. Clearly, the man is loved and admired beyond words.

PRINCE BOLA OLATILO SUPERVISED CUTTING OF THE CAKE

The CEO and founder of BISCON, Prince Bola Olatilo, was the distinguished personality called upon to do the honour of supervising the cutting cake of the cake.
