On Sunday, August 29, 2022, Toluwalase Abolarin and her lover, Timilehin Akegbejo, held a classy wedding reception party in Lagos. The Chief Host was the mother of the groom, Mrs. Fausat Olabisi Odeyale-Akegbejo, who is based in Coventry City, UK.
The event took place at the popular Oragon Events Center in Ogba Lagos. The venue was very appropriate as it is easily accessible for anyone coming from any part of Lagos. It was not a surprise when the venue was completely filled up just a few minutes after the commencement of the party.

ALL SHADES OF BLUE RAN THE DAY
The colour of the day was blue. From royal to navy and sky, the guests were gorgeously dressed in all shades of blue. The event décor also added glamour to the party. The friends of the couple were not left out of the show. The groom’s friends were all dressed in Navy Blue Agbada while the friends of the bride stunned in sky blue lace.
WEDDING AND ENGAGEMENT PARTY HELD IN ORO, KWARA STATE
It was a celebration of love, affluence and style as the J.K Solomon All Nations Disciples of Christ Evangelistic Mission auditorium was filled to the brim. The guests were not deterred by the long distance and the rainy weather; they all made it to the occasion and had maximum fun.
The engagement party later took place at the Oro Community Grammar School, Oro, Kwara State. There was more than enough to eat and drink. The entire community felicitated with the couple because they had a fair share of what a classy wedding party should look like.
Let’s also quickly tell you that the bride’s family, the Abolarin, are very popular in Oro. It wasn’t a surprise when the engagement venue was filled to the brim. The couple and their parents are well-loved.
MEET THE BEAUTIFUL GROOM’S MOTHER
The mother of the groom is the popular UK-based health worker, Mrs Fausat Olabisi Odeyale -Akegbejo. She is an indigene of Ibara in Abeokuta, Ogun State but came down all the way from Coventry City in the UK to attend her son’s wedding. She is also very popular on Facebook. Many of her fans and lovers took to her Facebook handle to show her some love and support.
POPULAR NOLLYWOOD SUPERSTARS CAME THROUGH
The quality of an event is always determined by the class of people present at such an event. A lot of top society men and celeb women painted the town red for Toluwalase and Timilehin. Some of the big screen stars spotted at the event includes, Ladi Folarin, Princess Adebisi Okunnuga, Oluwasola Abiodun Gbokoyi, popularly known as Sola Shoprite, Opeyemi Onaduja, popularly called Ariketotalenu and a few others.
POPULAR LIVE BAND SINGER, BOYE BEST DID HIS THING
Boye Best is known only for one thing, quality music and entertainment, and that was exactly what he delivered at the reception party. Boye, thrilled the guests from dawn to dusk. He was the life of the party; all the big boys and babes that came all the way from the US, the UK, Canada and Dubai all had a nice time dancing to the ‘tungba’ oozing from the delectable singer and his band boys.
BRIG. GBENGA ATIBA, ENGR. YETUNDE AKINWUNMI & HAKIM ODEYALE LEAD GROOM’S FAMILY
When we said people came from all over the world to attend this party, we meant every single word of it. Starting with the groom’s mother’s family, there was Hakim Odeyale from the US, Brig. Gbenga Atiba, Engr. Yetunde Akinwunmi the aunt of the groom. The list is endless, BJ Afric, Tunde Okusi and Tope Abass all from Coventry, Sunday Adetobi from London, Akinyanjula Lawunmi, from the US and DJ Ivory from London. The Nigerian community in Coventry City was duly represented as well. There was also Titilayo Olagoroye and Pastor Yele Afolabi London.
DJ POWERPLAY RAN THE AFTER PARTY
As soon as the live band was done, DJ Powerplay took over for the after party. The big boys digging it in Agbada immediately changed their style. DJ Powerplay gave them all the trending music as well as contemporary hip-hop, highlife and Afrobeats. He ran the show until very late at night when the guests were completely exhausted.
OLABISI OLORIRE APESIN ODEYALE-AKEGBEJO’S FASHION STYLE
Olabisi Olorire Apesin Odeyale-Akegbejo’s fashion style was also revealed at the party, Her outfits were worth some huge sum. Her necklace and wrist chains were 18karat gold. She wore a very beautiful and well designed damask-like material. She was in the same outfit with her younger sister, Engr. Yetunde Akinwunmi.
THE OWO CONNECT…
Not many people knew that Mrs. Olabisi Odeyale-Akegbejo also had a stint in Owo during her heydays. She was an alumnus of the popular Owo High School. Some of her old school mates were present at the party. They have all grown to become very important personalities in society. They were all happy to reunite at the party.
THE VENDORS DID WELL
There was more than enough to eat and drink and food went round to all the guests more than once. The local and continental dishes were served by Mo House Kitchen, a very popular catering brand in Surulere, while Jojuola Chops and More catered to Small Chops, Asun and other fries.
