The private screening of Jagun Jagun took place on Wednesday 9th August 2023, at Filmhouse IMAX, in Lekki, Lagos. It was a colourful event, what with the Afrocentric dress code.
Recently, Femi Adebayo Salami revealed how he feels about the huge success of his movie, Jagun Jagun. “What is a warrior without his allies on the war front? What is a dream without a team that can work with you to bring it to life?

Let’s tell you more about Jagun Jagun is a distinct movie that has been efficiently handled. The movie packed a sterling Cast, a captivating Story, and all the Action and Special effects you always wanted to see. Femi Adebayo surpasses Agesinkole in every ramification.
No Nollywood movie has portrayed such realistic violent action before.
The film tells the story of a blood thirsty warlord, Ogundiji, played by Femi Adebayo, who feels threatened by a young warrior (Lateef Adedimeji) whose only desires are the basics of life; power and the love of a woman. Right from the very first scene, Jagun Jagun will get you hooked and give you goosebumps; the fight scenes, the stunts, the bloodshed, emotions, slow-mo effects, subtle love stories, and sweat all looked real and firmly kept me on the edge of my seat all through. It felt like one was watching the Woman King and Agesinkole all together. Amazingly, despite the crowd and star-studded cast, everyone was given an opportunity to shine; every single character “ate” their roles perfectly. The absolutely perfect soundtrack and background music is topnotch, and the best part was the ‘Agemo’ twist one didn’t see coming towards the end..
The major message it preached towards the end of the movie is to all Nigerian viewers, especially youths, to stop allowing these power-hungry politicians to use them for their dirty work, while they keep their children safe!!! Also worthy of appraisal are the props, settings, Make up, and costumes, all brilliantly and perfectly done … The costumes and props were lit.
The movie featured A-list actors like Adebayo Salami, Yinka Quadri, Dele Odule, Ibrahim Chatta, Odunlade Adekola, Faithia Balogun, Liz dasilva, Muyiwa Ademola, Lateef Adedimeji, Biodun Okeowo, Bimpe Oyebade, Tope Adebayo, Ibrahim Yekini Itele and many others including Peju Ogunmola, a silver screen legend.
Femi Adebayo has had a lot to say about some of the cast. “Aunty Peju is an absolute force to reckon with in Nollywood! Her extraordinary talent and dedication to her craft have left me spellbound time and again. We could not afford to miss out on it for Jagun Jagun. She ended up surpassing all my expectations, with style to add!
Femi Adebayo Salami also commended Kolawole Ajeyemi and described him as an icon through and through! “Kolawole Ajeyemi’s limitless talent commands my respect of his craft! And on the set of Jagun Jagun, unsurprisingly, I was beyond impressed. His support towards the production process cannot go unnoticed either! A positive presence on and off shoots!
Femi Adebayo also revealed his impressions about Fathia Williams. He described her as Legendary Fathia Williams. “What a presence you bring!
According to Femi, Fathia playing the wife of a warrior who embodied a warlike essense, showing strength, courage and inspiring all with her indomitable spirit, she reflected her character’s spirit as a true heroine on set by fearlessly facing every challenge thrown at her. Even when we tried not to overwork her with her unwavering dedication.
How about Mr. Macaroni’s role? Femi Adebayo described his presence on the Jagun Jagun set as simply captivating. “He once again showed himself to be a true thespian, showcasing acting-range beyond his comedy fame, immersing himself in the role and leaving no st one unturned. With each scene, he breathed life into his character, embracing every emotion with finesse. Even when timelines were extended, his determination shone through giving us his A-game. Macaroni truly is that professional who has always been reliable-always giving his best – when I call him in for a project”.
What does Femi think about Unstoppable Aisha Lawal? “Oh, how time flies! Aisha, our very own @ J15 School alumnus who made us proud back then and still carries the spirit of excellence till today! I am proud of her accomplishments on the Jagun Jagun set. Aside being simply amazing while shooting, she was in charge of welfare, caring for everyone’s wellbeing”.
“From the early training days on set to the final moments, Aisha’s dedication was unwavering. She poured her heart and soul into the movie, and it shows in her remarkable performance.
How about Odunlade Adekola? Femi describes him as the unwavering one! “The one and only Hong-Kong o! I am thankful for your support.
Your jovial nature brings laughter and warmth to every movement on set, making it an absolute joy to work together. I was in awe of your commanding presence on the Jagun Jagun set. You truly delivered like a gallant warrior. Your craftsmanship is amazing and always rings with profound depth and intensity”.
Femi is quite impressed with Muyiwa Ademola, @authenticmuy the authentic “Hmmmm! Egbon mi authe, it is always a pleasure to work with you…I have had the pleasure of working with this phenomenal actor and I can attest to his ability to captivate any audience with his exceptional talent. Trust me, you won’t recognise @authenticmuy as he brings a whole new level of energy to his role.
Femi Adebayo also has something nice to say about Yinka Quadri. He calls him Uncle Yinka Quadri the iconic! What Femi Adebayo said about him is very profound. “Uncle Yinka is a legend. I was priviledged to witness the masterful portrayal of his character in Jagun Jagun with unmatched brilliance. I could feel how he immersed himself in the essence of the character, to the extent we could only visualise him as the character for the length of the shoot. He is a thespian to the core! Femi also revealed how impressive he was at Bimbo Ademoye’s skills. “I can’t help but celebrate Bimbo’s outstanding performance in Jagun Jagun!
Bimbo owned the set with her talent, passion and dedication. She effortlessly embraced her character, showing a side of her that’s both powerful and emotionally stirring. I can’t wait for the world to witness her brilliance on screen.
Femi Adebayo desribed Kunle Afod as the epitome of craftsmanship! “Kunle was exceptional for Jagun Jagun! The overwhelming support received from him as my fellow AFRIMEK member throught this journey cannot be over emphasised. His portrayal of his character was nothing short of powerful and emotionally captivating!
Femi Adebayo also gives kudos to Aliu Gafar who he says always keeps raising the bar! “What an exceptional devotion to creating something beautiful from Aliu. I could barely recognise him the moment the director says “Action”.
Aliu is another AFRIMEK Colleague whose unwavering support never ceased throughout this journey. The sacrifices hold immeasurable importance in my heart”.
How about Niyi Johnson’s role? Femi commended his redefined professional artistry for Jagun Jagun! “As a fellow Afrimak member, Niyi’s unwavering support throughout this journey holds immeasurable significance to me, and I will not be forgetting it. His portrayal of the character leaves a profound impact, and will evoke powerful emotions for anyone watching”.
How did Femi Adebayo describe Itele? He called him Remarkable Itele D Icon. “Itele’s contribution to the success of Jagun Jagun was an all-rounder. Aside portraying a formidable warrior, he offered his expertise and was wholly committed to the 1 month cast fitness ahead the shooting”.
“The way he delivered in his first emotional scene left us all breathless. His amazing skill set allowed him to make his character so believable. He knows his craft”.

Femi says he is also impressed at Bukunmi Oluwasina’s role in the Jagun Jagun movie. He calls her Bukunmi Oluwasina the unstoppable! According to Femi Adebayo, “Bukunmi took on the Jagun Jagun script like it was her own, flying in from the UK with prior commitments just to be part of it. The story captivated her from the first read, leading her to dedicate 2 whole months to bringing it to life.
On set, her passion and drive moved the entire production crew, becoming a beacon of motivation even when faced with challenges. She exceeded all expectations, shinning brightly in the role carved out for her and I must say, she blew us away!
Her energy became the fuel that ignited our own and we couldn’t be more grateful for her brilliance”.
Lateef Adedimeji the indomitable! That is how Femi Adebayo Salami described him. “Lateef commended the Jagun Jagun set like a true warrior. Preparing for the role, Lateef hit the gym for a month, displaying commitment like I have never seen before. In his first scene, he broke his lence, but continued to do his best despite being in excruciating pain. Omo, me I was scared o, but his resilience inspired us all on set to keep on. His mesmerising portrayal of Gbotija left us all in awe of his exceptional talent. It was mesmerising and full of depth and intensity”.
Ibrahim Chatta, the relentless for u! That was how Femi Adebayo described him. “Ibrahim’s dedication on the set of Jagun Jagun was awe-inspiring. Despite an urgent domestic call, he didn’t falter.
Determined to give his best, he showed up and delivered a stellar performance, with a driving commitment to make his fans happy as well”.
